Michael J. Roche is senior vice president for the Allstate’s Claim organization and a member of Allstate's senior management team. He is responsible for the largest employee group at Allstate, overseeing 17,000 employees countrywide who handle more than six million claims on an annual basis. He is also CEO of Sterling's Collision Centers Inc., a network of auto repair facilities acquired by Allstate in 2001.

Roche was previously the senior vice president of Protection Technology and Administration. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of Protection technology and also had responsibility for agency and customer support functions and the Allstate call centers, as well as leadership for the integration of various shared service functions.

Roche joined Allstate in February 2002 as vice president, information technology at Allstate Financial, where he was responsible for technology strategy, application development and interfacing with the corporate technology organization. He was named group vice president and chief information officer of Allstate Protection Technology upon its creation in January 2003.

Prior to Allstate, Roche was group president of small business finance at Heller Financial. Prior to that position, he served as Heller's chief information officer from 1990-1994. He also spent 17 years at Continental Illinois National Bank in various IT positions, including managing director of IT applications development.

He is a member of the board of directors of One Economy, a national non-profit organization that helps bring access to technology into the homes of low-income people around the country. He is also a member of the board of trustees of Rosary High School in Aurora, IL and served as a director of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.

Roche received his Bachelor's degree in mathematics and Master's in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.
