Allstate Insurance Company has appointed Joan H. Walker senior vice president, Corporate Relations effective immediately. Walker joins Allstate from Qwest Communications International, where she was executive vice president, Marketing & Communications and president of the Qwest Foundation.

Her extensive experience in communications, marketing, regulatory affairs and public policy will contribute to our goal of effectively engaging with all of our key stakeholders," said Edward M. Walker will report to Robert W. Pike, executive vice president, and upon his retirement early next year will report to Mr. Liddy.

Prior to joining Qwest, Walker served in various governmental, communications, marketing and educational positions including that of senior vice president of Marketing and Communications for Ameritech. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University and a Master of Arts degree from The Graduate School, Rutgers University.
